Men’s Business Mentoring Inc (“MBMI”) is a not-for-profit association incorporated in Western Australia. We encourage men to offer themselves as volunteer mentors to other adult men in their workplaces, communities and families. To facilitate these interactions MBMI provides content on the website, social media posts and at mentor gatherings to equip volunteer mentors with basic skills. The decision to enter into a mentoring relationship is the responsibility of the participants. We recommend that both parties in a mentoring relationship familiarise themselves with our session boundaries and guidelines to safeguard their privacy, dignity and safety. Mentoring sessions are a completely private matter between the participants.
- MBMI encourages volunteer mentors to help mentees process decision-making and life choices. The purpose is not to provide advice on the decisions and choices that the mentee may choose to take and any mentee is encouraged to take suitable independent professional advice before acting on any information, suggestion or guidance given by a mentor. Similarly, the facilitation of mentoring interactions by MBMI does not represent financial, legal or other professional advice.
- All discussions between mentors and mentees are confidential and both parties must undertake to ensure the confidentiality of personal information disclosed in discussions.
- Although MBMI takes care to ensure the information and content published by it is accurate and up-to-date, MBMI assumes no legal liability for the accuracy, timeliness or completeness of the information and content.
- MBMI is not liable for any loss or damage arising from any mentor relationship facilitated by MBMI or arising from any access to and use of information and content published by MBMI.
